Last updated: April 5, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jamala Health's website, mobile application, or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Jamala Health provides a wellness platform that includes access to GLP-1 medication through licensed healthcare providers, community support features, wellness resources, and related services. Our platform is designed specifically for Black women seeking culturally competent weight-care support.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Jamala Health facilitates connections between you and licensed healthcare providers. We are not a medical provider. All medical decisions, including prescriptions and treatment plans, are made by your licensed provider. Our community features, wellness content, and support tools are not a substitute for professional medical advice.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use our services. GLP-1 medication eligibility is determined by a licensed healthcare provider based on your individual health profile.

5. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and intake.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

6. Subscription & Payments

Jamala Health operates on a subscription model. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fee on a recurring basis.
  • Automatic renewal of your subscription unless cancelled before the next billing period.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted through your account settings or by contacting support.

7. Community Guidelines

Our community spaces are sacred. By participating, you agree to:

  • Treat all members with respect and dignity.
  • Keep health discussions supportive and non-judgmental.
  • Protect the privacy of other members — what is shared in the community stays in the community.
  • Refrain from sharing medical advice; only licensed providers should offer clinical guidance.
  • Report any harmful behavior to our team.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Jamala Health platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Jamala Health and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

Jamala Health is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. SMS & Communications Consent

By using Jamala Health's support chat feature, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Jamala Health related to your support inquiry. By providing your phone number or initiating a chat, you agree to the following:

  • You may receive SMS messages in response to support chats you initiate on our platform.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Message frequency varies based on your support interactions.
  • You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at hello@jamala.health.
  • SMS is not required to use Jamala Health's services.
  • We will never share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

For help with SMS, reply HELP to any message or contact hello@jamala.health.
